After a long 26 hours, we have made it to Ethiopia!
🙂
We lost our camera during our flight, so I have no pictures yet, but will hopefully… soon… get our carry-on back and then I’ll make sure to get some pictures for you! Â (If our camera’s still in there!)
We are settled in our house that is ours for the next 6mo.  As it happens it is also the house Marshal lived in during his 3yrs. in Ethiopia.  The house is very roomy and the boys’ room is HUGE and has tons of room for their train set, cars, and legos.  They are LOVING their special space!!  🙂
We spent our first couple days with our team out of town a little on the new compound.  (our house right now is IN the city.)  We enjoyed chatting and getting to know our teammates better.  The boys met all the other kids, 16 in all, and really had a great time jumping on the trampoline, playing in the sandbox, and lots of pillow fights!! 🙂
The last two days we’ve spent with Marshal’s Aunt and Uncle, and oh they’ve been SO helpful and welcoming!! Â What we would have done without them I don’t know!
I had my first shopping experience today.  Had to go to four different shops to get all the things I could have gotten in one stop in the states! 🙂  But it was a fun time spent with Marshal’s Aunt and no kids! 🙂
Monday we are headed to the “department of transportation” to get our drivers licenses.  This could be a VERY interesting experience if they ask me to actually drive the car! 🙂  So stay tuned…
Two of our teammates are headed back down country, one to their home, one to check into what all needs to be done to start their new mission in a city called Yamp. Â Please pray for both families as they travel with three kids each and horrible roads! Â Pray that Fowler’s ministry will pick up where they left off and continue to bring unreached Gumuz to know Christ. Â Pray also for the Moore’s as they meet with officials and set out to start the ministry God has called them to!
Marshal and I both thank you all for your prayers, we know it’s the only way we would have been able to get through the flight, jet lag, and transition to Ethiopia!
